Introducing Telemedicine Visits!

We know many of our patients may be wary to travel due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. We are excited to introduce TELEMEDICINE VISITS, which allow you discuss your medical issues with Dr. Harvey from the comfort of your own home! Because of the pandemic, many insurance companies, INCLUDING MEDICARE, are paying for telemedicine visits now, with copays and deductibles being waived. While there is a limit to what can be accomplished virtually, there is also quite a bit that Dr. Harvey can help you with using a teleconference. Telemedicine Visits are available for conditions such as:

  • Ingrown Toenails

  • Diabetic Wound Follow Ups

  • Bunions

  • Heel Pain

  • General Foot Pain

  • & more!

Here's a short video from Dr. Harvey describing Telemedicine visits!

Are you curious about how a Telemedicine Visit works? Before your visit, our team will contact you to walk you through all the details. We will ask you to give us your formal consent to treat you using telemedicine and set up a date and time that works best for you. In advance of your appointment, our team will send you a secure message with a link to join a teleconference with Dr. Harvey hosted by Zoom Meetings. If you don't feel comfortable with technology, we recommend that you have someone close by who can help you with the technical details to make sure your visit runs smoothly.

For your appointment, you'll need a device with an internet connection. A mobile phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer are all options you can use. If you are joining the meeting using a mobile device, you may need to download the free "Zoom Cloud Meeting" app in order to connect with Dr. Harvey. If you are using a laptop or desktop, you can simply join the meeting by clicking on the URL in our message to you. Whatever device you use, just make sure it's set up in such a way to allow Dr. Harvey to get a good look at your feet!
